The Jed Project
For over twenty years I've been carrying out various investigations into the town, villages and landscape around where I live. I've done this mainly by means of sound recordings and text, latterly with photography and short film. This has become The Jed Project, ostensibly a natural and social history project of discovery from the source to the mouth of the Jed River, examining the river basin and the people who live here, the problematic landscape, agriculture, small town life and politics. I want it to be collaborative so I'm inviting artists, writers, storytellers and researchers to join me as the project grows legs and wings. Look out for updates in my blog.
