The Jed Project

For many years I've been carrying out various investigations into the town, villages and landscape around where I live. I've done this mainly by means of sound recordings and text, latterly with photography, short film and performance. This is now The Jed Project, ostensibly an arts, anthropology, natural and social history project of discovery from the source to the mouth of the Jed River, examining the river basin and the people who live here, the problematics of landscape, agriculture, small town life and politics.

The Jed Project found new energy in the recently completed Fallow Land commission, details of which you can find on my blog. This has been an exciting development because it allowed me to organise sustainable events for local people.
