Trees

Trees are beautiful photographic subjects. But I find them difficult to photograph successfully so over the winter months I'm trying some low light photography because at dawn and dusk the colours are more interesting than during the day. The rest is down to patience and some ideas about composition, along with the usual practical hassles around lenses, camera settings and tripod management. These were taken in December at the Dalgety estate near Turriff in Aberdeenshire just before sunset. I can't explain the blue colour. It's nothing to do with white balance or over-saturation with the software. It's as if they're giving off light, like solar cells.
