Current Projects
Forthcoming cd by Giancarlo Toniutti and James Wyness. Two electroacoustic
compositions stemming from the same sonic expedition as drookitarlùp.
Anticipated 2021.
An Atlas of Instabilities (with Giancarlo Toniutti). This book of dialogues
critically examines music and musical behaviour from the perspective of
various scientific, artistic and social disciplines. Anticipated 2021.
n'qua'qua, a performance and recording project for electric guitar
investigating Brian Eno's original concept that the music should "accommodate
many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it
must be as ignorable as it is interesting."
the quiet project, (performance project). Work-in-progress. Ongoing instrument
design and building for small instruments in which the music is unamplified yet quietly
complex and differentiated. Performances are site-specific - the portability of
individual sound sources allows the performer to take advantage of given
architectural features.
