I’d like to propose a new solo act for acoustic finger style guitar and sruti box that I hope to air at festivals and venues throughout 2026.
I play a guitar style that borrows from Celtic, Appalachian, North African and Eastern stringed instrument idioms. The sruti box serves as an accompaniment.
The music has proved to be engaging and popular with audiences at various gatherings at home and overseas. It's certainly folky in a sort of mesmeric and hypnotic sense, intimate rather than showy, and has a nice contrast between the more animated guitar work and the meditative drone of the sruti box.
